Trivia

  • This was Itano Tomomi's final single before she graduated from AKB48.
  • One month before the physical single came out, a 90 second version of the A-side was released as Itano's 4th digital single.
  • 1% was a dance song meant to be similar to Itano's debut single Dear J.
  • The song and PV of the A-side were meant to represent the feeling a person has when they for love with only a 1% chance of success.
  • The PV was filmed in New York City, and the dance scenes were shot on a building with the night skyline in the background.
    • It was the first time Itano had shot a PV in New York. She commented “I’ve always loved New York so I’m very glad I was able to film here. This is my first time co-starring with male dancers in a video so we had a lot of rehearsals. I think it’s a great video and I hope the fans enjoy it!“.
